No other damper has the range of capability that MCS 2WNR has. Packed with race-proven technical features with a clean, elegant design and focus on the details. The monotube design is very stable with more oil capacity and better heat dissipation than twin tube dampers. The big main piston gives quick, accurate damper response, and the divider piston separates oil and gas, eliminating cavitation which often causes noise, loss of pressure, and sloppiness. Large strut shafts have extremely high, low-friction side-load support that is unmatched by inverted shocks that have been converted for strut applications. MCS dampers are capable of making higher-rate springs feel smooth! Weve even had success using them on our street cars!
Both rebound and compression are independently adjusted via one very clever knob at the top of each shock. No more dragging a jack to pit lane, laying on the ground in your nice clothes or driving suit, or getting unwanted branding marks from a hot brake rotor! The adjuster is located safely under your hood or trunk. The blow-off valves are built into the main piston using Wave Spring Technology for faster, more precise and accurate damping control at low or high speeds. Shock bodies are Aluminum with Nickel coating for corrosion protection. Piston seals are Teflon for high strength and durability.
This listing is set up for a rear coil over spring instead of the original separate inboard spring. The E46 rear shock towers are not reinforced for the spring loads so your shock towers must be tied into a roll cage structure.
MCS is an American company with manufacturing and service located outside Atlanta, Georgia.
