We had these pads custom-made by PFC for our IMSA ST race program. They are different than the standard E9X 328i/335i/M3 pad and maximize pad volume. PFC 12 are race pads with smooth initial bite, slight friction rise with temperature, and excellent release and modulation characteristics. 12 Compound is a new generation endurance material. This pad provides medium friction that offers precise control to last a full 24 hour race, and even better disc conditioning than the 08 predecessor. 12 Compound offers improvements in durability, wear characteristics, and modulation over the already fantastic 08 Compound. For many applications, 12 will replace the 08 compound.* - this PFC racing pad was initially designed for a custom racing application. It is different in appearance from the standard "918" pad shape but this "7704" shape also fits the front calipers for cars listed below. The backing plate modifications were made for our specific racing application which will not affect your use. Additionally, there are no pad clips, which is our preference for a pure racing pad.
