Product Description
SPA AFFF Fire Bottle Service & Recertification is required for SPA fire systems every two years, or whenever they have been triggered. We provide factory-trained recharging services to ensure the utmost safety in your car's SPA fire-suppression system. BimmerWorld is certified for Lifeline and SPA servicing for FIA and SFI certifications, but not for DOT.
The SPA "Lite" AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) extinguishant is a non-toxic, ozone-friendly suppressant, but it will dry and harden with age (see image below). This service is highly recommended and required if you want your fire system to be there when you need it. Service and recertification every two years is critical! Having a regular service is essential to getting the most life from the bottle and ensuring the system functions correctly.
Basic service includes refreshing the AFFF fluid (4L standard), checking all parts for wear and age issues, flushing the bottle, replacing the gauge, repressurizing and relabeling. Note: Electric systems that have been fired will also require a new electrical firing head, not included in the price of the basic service.
Important Service Notes -
- Please DO NOT fire the system if it has not already been fired
- Bottles that are past their service date cannot be serviced
- Bottles that are 6 years from their last service date (or original fill date) cannot be serviced
- Bottles that are 10 years of age or older cannot be serviced
