The race version of our BimmerWorld E36 Front Y-Pipe by MagnaFlow utilizes a proper racing merge collector with primary legs that are designed to time exhaust gas pulses like a long-tube equal-length header when combined with factory exhaust manifolds. This exhaust section is a little more difficult to create, which is why we teamed with the experts at MagnaFlow to perfect the design. The design layout looks like a pair of snakes, similar to high-end headers, but with power output that is a noticeable improvement over anything else.This Y-Pipe is optional but highly recommended for use with our BimmerWorld E36 Exhaust System. Without this pipe, our BimmerWorld exhaust will connect to several brands of long-tube header with a 2-bolt, 3" center flange.
Engineered with power-to-weight ratio in mind, this is a very lightweight piece weighing in at just 9.5 lbs.
