Our E36 OBD1 Dual Pickup Oil Pan/Pump Upgrade can virtually eliminate oil starvation on track while also keeping oil pressure higher for maximum performance and longevity.
Oil starvation is a serious threat to all E36s driven on track, especially during high-RPM use and when subjected to high braking and cornering loads. Oil pressure can often drop down to 10psi on track - whether your gauge is fast enough to pick it up or not. While this is common, and likely wont destroy your engine if the RPMs and load are relatively low, your engine life is still decreased. Thats even if youre using a good oil pan baffle setup.
Our dual pickup kit, as used in most wet-sump E36 racing applications, has one pickup at the front and another one in the rear to reduce the possibility of sucking air into the engine. As an added bonus, the pump also increases base oil pressure which is critical for longer life at high RPMs as well as maximum performance from engines using lighter weight oils, or those that retain hydraulic lifters.
Our complete kit consists of Genuine BMW parts from S54 and European applications. This kit is a direct bolt-on for your 92-95 (OBD1) 6-cylinder E36, and it includes all parts needed to convert to a dual sump system - light hand-fitting required in some applications.
