Using the M2/M3/M4 front control arms on a non-M car will gain 1° or negative camber and upgrade the inner bushings. This kit includes the two M3/M4 lower control arms (wishbones), two upper thrust arms (tension struts), Powerflex urethane bushings, headlight regulating rod, and securing nut to make it an easy bolt-on upgrade for F22 2-series, F30 3-series, and F32 4-series.M2/M3/M4 lower wishbones have a sealed monoball bearing in the inner location. This is much more precise than the rubber bushing used on non-M cars. It's also a slightly longer arm with a slight curve that adds 1° more negative camber without any other changes. Using the lower arms on their own will likely move the wheel forward in the wheel well, causing rubbing on the front plastic liner. See below.
M2/M3/M4 upper thrust arms can be used to correct the wheel position mentioned above. However, the bushing must be changed to a non-M F3X type. We chose the Powerflex urethane bushings as an upgrade. Since the whole point of this upgrade is more performance, any rubber bushing would not be our first choice and the urethane bushing improves handling and braking with no penalty on ride comfort. This Powerflex bushing comes pre-installed on the F8X arm. The entire package comes ready to bolt on with your existing hardware.
