The PFC V3 Disc Assembly is a replacement for GT3 Cup brake kits only. This is the latest "V3" design brake rotor, which is an upgrade over the original V2 design rotors.This PFC Replacement Disc Assembly comes with a new mounting hat, and it arrives fully assembled, ready to install and run. PFC rotors are made from a precision casting; all external surfaces are machined to tolerances of 0.004", including the OD of the vein area that most manufacturers leave rough-cast. This is the only rotor that is mechanically, thermally, and dynamically balanced - meaning you will never warp them because they are balanced in all situations, all temperatures.
This latest design rotor from PFC includes their new improved retaining ring design, which makes change the friction discs FAST and EASY compared to dealing with many nuts and bolts (as used on older or competing designs.) The patented V3 attachment uses a retention ring that holds the hat and disc together. The ring means no need for torque wrenches, no hardware and no hassle. The ability to change a disc quickly and efficiently saves time and effort. As well as being convenient, the new V3 technology is much lighter than previous designs, making it easier to put on and pull off. This V3 rotor retention method is based on the use of a two-turn retaining ring, which is held in a groove in the hat that overlaps the rotor flangeseffectively locking the rotor to the hat.
Performance Frictions higher precision and tolerances give you a rotor that will reduce drag, eliminate pulsation and vibration, and reduce heat transfer, as well as offering very low wear rates. This newest rotor design reduces weight even further compared to the already-light previous-generation components.
