Product Description
- Carbon-Ceramic Brakes do not last forever
- Track use will quickly accelerate rotor wear
- Replacement front CCB rotors currently cost over $3,400 each
A better option is to retrofit traditional cast iron rotors and matching pads in place of your CCB discs. This is easily accomplished using the front and rear rotors from the 2019+ F87 M2 Competition model. The M2C brakes are the same exact size and other critical dimensions as the M3/M4 CCB rotors. You can bolt on the M2C rotors with no changes to the calipers, parking brake, hubs, or dust shields of your M3/M4. New brake pads are required.
New brake pads are required!!!! Original CCB pads are not designed for iron rotors. This listing includes rotors only. Any brake pad designed for the M2 Competition will also work. We have track and street pads for this model and will be happy to advise on what pad would be appropriate for your driving.
Note: any alteration from original will change the brake bias and coefficient of friction. Under normal driving you are not likely to notice the change in bias but the brakes will feel different and some adjustment period will be required (brakes will actually feel very much like a stock M2 Competition). Proper brake pad bed-in is required. For track use, brake bias can be compensated for with different pad compounds.
Front and rear iron rotors are required. Do not mix iron components with carbon components. This listing is for the rear cast iron rotors only. See below for front rotors.
Pads are not included and must be purchased separately.
These are Genuine BMW parts.
