When replacing the N54 turbos there are many parts that must be replaced and some that are simply a good idea to replace. This kit covers both and sits in between a minimalist kit for the ace DIYer and the ultra kit for the DIY or shop that wants a completely fresh install. Additional parts may also be recommended - see below for links.
All of the parts in this kit are Genuine BMW, just as if you went to the local dealer parts department (but bundled together for special kit pricing). All Genuine BMW parts include a two year warranty. We also offer this kit with OEM or aftermarket parts that offer the same quality but with more savings.
Are you reusing your original oil supply/return lines?
In some cases, the turbocharger oil lines can be reused. Careful inspection is highly recommended. Aging oil lines are a common source of leaks. The oil supply and return lines can also become kinked during the turbocharger removal process. If you suspect that your lines have been bent or damaged, it is wise to replace them preventively. Another reason to replace the N54 oil lines is that the lines can become plugged and restricted by burnt oil residue, causing the turbochargers to overheat and fail. If you're replacing your turbos, we recommend replacing the oil supply/return lines while you're in there. See below for BimmerWorld Recommended Related Items.
